AI Scholars Live Online is a 10 session (25-hour) program that exposes high school students to fundamental AI concepts and guides them to build a socially impactful project. Taught by our team of graduate students from Stanford, MIT, and more, students receive a personalized learning experience in small groups with a student-teacher ratio of 5:1.
GDIT’s annual Women + Tech event brings together women at different stages of their careers for an inspiring and engaging event that showcases actionable tools, insights, and networking to support career growth and mobility. New for 2021 is an extension of this program to engage young women in their junior and senior year of high school with a Bot-a-Thon hosted by GDIT with partners Deloitte, UiPath and STEM for Her. Students will learn about Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and use those new RPA skills to solve a problem related to Humanitarianism, Cyber Threats, Social Activism and Mental Health. Certificate of completion will be provided to all students who participate in the program. Teams will be judged on a set of criteria including innovation, creativity, impact, and technical functionality. The members of selected teams will receive scholarships for use with school-related costs. This year's Women + Tech theme is Moving Mountains: In a year of immense challenges – many of which were disproportionately shouldered by women – we recognize the importance of empowerment, resiliency, and elevating others. Without question, women helping other women and allies helping women – sometimes moving proverbial mountains to do so – will ensure even more women can reach the top, together.
