THE CHALLENGE
You get it. You’ve grasped an important scientific theory, concept or principle. Now can you share your insight? An inventive video can get across complex material that would take pages of text to communicate. To take part in the Breakthrough Junior Challenge, create a short video (3:00 minutes max) to explain a big idea in one of these fields:Physics
Your film can take any form you like: animation, talking head, documentary, dramatic reconstruction, whatever. It’s worth keeping in mind that video is a dynamic visual medium – using diagrams, simulations, physical demonstrations etc. is a lot more effective than standing in front of a blackboard talking. The videos will be judged according to the following criteria:
WHO CAN ENTER? Anyone between the ages of 13-18. SUBMISSION DEADLINE: You must submit your application and video no later than June 25, 2021 at 11:59 PM Pacific Daylight Time (West Coast USA).

ENvision is a virtual summer learning program for rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores around the state of Colorado. Students interested in exploring engineering are invited to apply.
Participants will have materials sent to better engage in virtual sessions offered by the Walter Scott, Jr College of Engineering. Additionally, students will benefit from connecting with assigned mentors who are current engineering students. The virtual program will run once a week between June 17 - July 8, 2021. Please submit your application by April 30, 2021 for full consideration. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected]. We hope to connect with you for ENVision! Join us for virtual events that highlight Northrop Grumman’s fascinating technology, people, and partners. These sessions are open to the public.

Its mission will usher in the exploration of uncharted territories in the first epoch of galaxy formation — a part of the universe never seen before. This cosmic time machine will be the largest and most complex space telescope ever to launch into space and an engineering feat like no other. Able to peer 13.5 billion years into the past in its search for alien worlds, and 100 times more powerful that its beloved scientific successor the Hubble Space Telescope, the Webb Space Telescope is gearing up for its home stretch to launch. Join Northrop Grumman engineers for a conversation to discover some of the game changing technology and engineering behind the Webb Space Telescope. Date: Thursday, April 22, 2021 Time: 10:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. PT / 1:00–2:00 p.m. ET Guest Speakers:
